New Member Induction

The induction ceremony was held during our 16th Regular Meeting on 17 February 2009. Fund Raising - Cookies Baking

Members of Rotaract Club of Likas Bay successfully made 100 containers of chocolate chip cookies and corn flake cookies recently as part of their fund raising project in aid of Toboh Children Home new toilets funds.

RCLB's Vocational Project

Members of the Rotaract Club of Likas Bay attended their sponsoring club, Rotary Club of Likas Bay's vocational project, career guidance seminar held at Kudat. It is indeed important that school leavers have the opportunity to learn and choose their courses and career properly. The objective of this career guidance aim to help students more informed and better educational and career choices. Around 500 students from 13 schools participated in this career guidance seminar and all the principals of these schools have been most supportive.

Bukit Harapan Home Visit

A joint project with Rotaract Club of Kota Kinabalu Rotaract Club of Osaka North, Japan on 1 Nov - Visit to Bukit Harapan Home, Inanam.

Rotaract Club of Likas Bay has donated 420 Puree Adult Diapers, 48 packets of strawberry pies and 48 bottles of Silk Shampoo to the home for their needs. Other than donation, we also mingled around by playing games with the children of Bukit Harapan Home.

International Fellowship

Fellowship dinner at Sri Melaka Restaurant with DRR Wee, members of Rotaract Club of Kota Kinabalu and Rotaract Club of Osaka North.

Exchange of banneratte with District Rotaract Representative of Osaka North, Japan with our International Service Director, Rtr. Leong Wah Kon.

Environmental Project

A joint project with Rotaract Club of Kota Kinabalu, Rotaract Club of Osaka North and Rotaract Club of Likas Bay on Sunday morning - Beach Cleaning project at Tanjung Lipat.

Joint Fellowship

The Rotaract Club of Likas Bay organised a joint fellowship project with Rotaract Club of Kota Kinabalu on 26th October 2008 at K-Box Karaoke. It was attended by 10 members + 2 guests from Rotaract Club of Likas Bay. We had a crazy and joyful fellowship. We start partying from 6am - 2am. It was also a birthday celebration for Oct & Nov birthday babies.

Vocational Visit

Members of the Rotaract Club of Likas Bay attended their sponsoring club, Rotary Club of Likas Bay's 1st vocational project in this rotary year, a visit to witness the 3rd generation noodle making machine invented by Mr. Anthony Chong (1998 Sindex Winner) on 23rd October 2008 (Thursday) near Donggongon town.

Mr Anthony Chong demonstrated each functions of 3rd generation noodles making machine.

The machine motor and gear is driven by an electronic variable speed controller.

We went to a nearby coffee shop and requested them to cook the noodles that was freshly made. It was awesome, very chewy too.

Blood Drive ~ Give a Little, Save a Life

Our blood donation drive dated 12 October 2008 at City Mall Shopping Complex from 11am - 5pm. It was a joint project together with Hospital Likas Blood Bank. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Encik Haji Hashim (Head of Hospital Likas Blood Bank Department) & his team for their hard work. We managed to collect 50 pints throughout the day.

In addition, we would like to take this opportunity to thanks our sponsors. Our sincere appreciation to Vico whereby they have set a dispensary booth for the donors. Our sincere thanks also go to Tong Guan Food Products Sdn Bhd, Rinajadi Sdn Bhd, Guiness Anchor Marketing Sdn Bhd & last but not least, The Management of City Mall.

Motivational Talk : The Secret

During our 7th Regular Meeting on 7th October 2008, Professional Development Director, Rtr. Nicholas Lo has presented a motivational video presentation entitled The Secret.

Installation of Rotaract Club of Kota Kinabalu

Rotaractors and Rotarians of Likas Bay attended the Rotaract Club of Kota Kinabalu Installation dinner which was held at Atlantis Restaurant on 4th October 2008.

Membership Gathering

We had our dinner gathering on 1st October 2008 at The Hut Restaurant, City Mall Shopping Complex, in conjunction with the 17th Installation Post-Mortem meeting. Congratulation to OC Chelwin and her organising team for making our Installation a BIG success!!

Congratulation to Rtn Aldrin Wong (05/06 & 06/07 NGD)

Baby Isaac Zoel Wong celebrated his full moon (it's a direct translation of mandarin words) on the 28th September 2008. It is a Chinese cultural practice, to celebrate the baby’s first month.

Rotaractors and Rotarians of Likas Bay joined Rtn Aldrin Wong, Ann Soon Mun and Zoeys' celebrating the big day of handsome little I. Z. (a name given by sister Zoey..haha..).
